Fort Wayne Indoor Tournament

Gentlemen,

  The Fort Wayne Rugby Club will be hosting it's 1st ever indoor rugby tourney. Those that attended our 38 year old 3 rivers tournament in the summer know we can host a tourney! The only other indoor tourney in the USA I believe is held in Vegas. So this is huge for the Midwest!

  My name is Chuckie Geyer (My father has played on our team since 1971...two years after it was created) I am the Vice Prez and was hoping to reach out to other clubs (in the Midwest) in order to invite you all to join and help us create a yearly tourney that will be an awesome annual venue for all.

  You all know that us rugby players would do anything to help in the name of Rugby...this is why I call upon you. We are not making a dime (unless you buy our shirts) with this tourney. It is for our new found sponsor that let's us host our 3 rivers tourney for free. They help us out in the summer and we are doing our best to help them out in the winter while we get to play some Rugby! So basically it's a win win for us since we haven't been sponsored since '97.

  So please help us bring attention and publicity to our club and our sponsor with this tourney. The kinda guys you all are I know I can call upon each of your clubs to lend a hand....Even if you can only bring yourself and a few, we have a team that will be whoring as well. But honestly...what team doesn't have 10 hardcore ruggers willing to strap up at any given moment?

Important facts

• DECEMBER 1 and 2, 2007
• It will start at 2:00 PM Indiana time.
• It will be a 10's tourney with 20 minute games, and a 3 minute halftime.
• There will be a minimum of 3 games per team.
• The cost is $300 a team (or $30 a person to whore)
• I have gotten genuine interests from the Fort Wayne RFC, Chicago Lake County Gladiators, Toledo Celtics, Battle Creek Griffons, White River RFC and Michiana RFC.

  Social at (our world renowned rugby pub) O's with plenty of beer and food after the tourney on Saturday.

  If you have any questions or concerns about an overnight stay...I am the sales manager of the downtown hotel near all the bars, strip clubs and restaurants. I am working on a cheap ass rate for all.
